Now that Trixie was feeling better after the suicide attempt, things at home were becoming brighter. She had the time to hang with Zephyr, and catch up on things she missed doing, like reading a gossip magazine. However, some things weren't so exciting.

Trixie now had to go everywhere with her father, never to be left alone. When Daniel needed to go get some cheese for the pizza, Trixie had to tag along. She didn't mind too much, until when they drove into town she realized it was Winterfest, the biggest holiday celebration in Bethel, Maine. She sunk into the passenger seat, and wished she could be invisible. When Daniel reached the parking lot, he let Trixie wait in the car. When Daniel left however, Trixie was terrified. She felt so alone, and needed her father. It seemed like getting a bag of cheese was taking hours. Finally, she decided to get out of the car, sprinting for the entrance when she ran straight into Jason Underhill. He saved her from falling, but when he realized who it was, he shouted at her for ruining his life. He told her to the the truth about everything but before he could say anything more Daniel was pounding on his face. Trixie fled back to the car, horrified by the man who she thought was her father. They fought for awhile, and Trixie could not stand to watch. When a car approached, Jason ran, and Daniel made sure Jason knew he would kill him if he set foot next to his daughter again. But when he reached the car, Trixie was gone
